At 2,275m above sea level and known as Brunico-Bruneck’s local mountain, the Plan de Corones-Kronplatz is only a few minutes’ drive away from our hotel. Due to its long valley runs, wide hillsides and fabulous view it is considered a great skiing destination in Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley. You can reach the ski resort with the ski bus that departs from only a few meters distance from Hotel Sonnenheim and will also take you back after an exciting day.

In the whole of South Tyrol you can find around 1,300 cross-country well-prepared ski runs. 200km of these runs, where you can drift along and enjoy the beautiful landscapes, are to be found in the Eastern part of Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley, in the Val Casies-Gsiesertal valley and on the Rodenecker Alm.
